When you find you have too many bubbles left in the sink after the dishes or hand washing clothes. Save water by spraying a little diluted fabric softener on to the bubbles and rinse and they are all gone. works every time. saves so much water to.
To assist the removal of a splinter first dab the skin with a bit of olive oil. This softens the area and the splinter slides out much easier and without as much pain.
Need strong thread? Dental Floss is fabulous. Use it when you want it to stay sewn forever.
To rid your house of ants, get a 2 litre plastic bottle & cut it in half length ways. Mix some water (about 1 inch deep),sugar & a couple of tablespoons of vegemite together, mix well. Put it out where ants are and they will never get out alive.
To get rid of warts, Dab some milk from the "Milk Thistle" on them
To clean the Windscreen of your car try rubbing it with half an apple or potato.
If your windscreen is a bit "smeary" when it's raining, pour a bottle of coke on it. (only when it's raining - it may not be good for the paint
To remove grease stains from white shirts rub some butter or margarine on the stain.
Chewing Gum on your boot? Stick it in the freezer and let the chewing gum go hard.. It'll be easier to remove.
Chewing Gum in the carpet? Wrap some ice in a tea towel and place it on the gum until frozen. you should then be able to pick it out with a fork.
Texta and Crayon on your walls? Try spraying it with Aeroguard first...
Warts? A little bit of Banana Skin covered by a band-aid should do the trick!
Why not clean your kettle or hot water jug by boiling white vinegar in it!
You can also clean your kettle or hot water jug by boiling water with Sterident in it...
Clean up beetroot stains with milk.
Can't stand the smell of Garlic or onion on your hands? Rub your hands on stainless steel or the tap.
Don't know what to do with that last slither of soap? Collect them, stick them in a jar, fill the gaps with water, and microwave - You've just made liquid soap..
