ABOUT MERVYN

MERVYN W PURVIS joined our program back in the days when RICK MILNE used to host the Trash and Treasure segment on Remember When. As a keen collector himself,  Mervyn asked Rick if he could tag along one night whilst Rick did the segment with Bruce and Phil. Mervyn is still with us some 12 years after his original appearance and is hoping to be recognised by the Guinness Boork of records as the longest running winning contestant on a Melbourne Metropolitan AM Radio Sunday Night Quiz Show.  He has consistently won the MERVYN PURVIS KWICK KWIZ with the exception of three occasions... One week when BERT NEWTON took part and Simon Announced BERT as the winner in the hope of scoring a job on GMA. Once in June 2004 when Ian Armstrong mysteriously won, and the third time was November 2004 when host John Dees awarded bonus points totalling 90 points to Simon
